Where are the Windows 10 fans?
I’m sure by now, you all have seen and heard of this device. But why is there no buzz about it? At launch, it was priced at nearly $500, but quickly got a price cut. It’s been $288 on T-Mobile for quite some time now, and I don’t see the price going back up any time soon.
The unlocked version is selling on Amazon for $399, which is pretty good as well. While the Microsoft Store has it for a whopping $470 still.
Keep in mind, this phone comes with a free VR headset, and has some great internals.
- 5.5 inch Amled display
- Snapdragon 820 processor
- 21mp rear camera (4k recording)
- 8mp front camera (LED flash)
- Stereo speakers
- Windows Continuum
- Cortana personal assistant
- 64GB internal storage
- 4GB RAM
- 3000mAh Battery
- USB Type C
The phone has all the labeling of a flagship device, and also has a 5 Star rating on most sites. But why don’t we hear more from the internet about this little Titan? My only thought when I hear Windows phone, is Steve standing on stage saying DEVELOPERS, DEVELOPERS, DEVELOPERS!
Simple answer, it’s getting no support. The developer community for Windows phone is small, and it she’s not get the attention deserved I think. This phone is a gem, but lots of people don’t know about it.
Now it’s not all on the developers, marketing is something that needs to be done. So let’s be honest here, for this phone there is none. When was the last time you saw a commercial on this device? Hmmm. I’ve not seen any, and T-Mobile is not pushing it either. It’s really sad that this great OS, has to live in the shadows.
Windows 10 is a great operating system, and just needs app support to take off. The experience is clean and refreshing, and works great. It’s a beautiful UI, and this remains to be seen. But with no support, it’s going to be dead in the water.
Do you use a Windows phone?
